Anniversaries are a great time to re-kindle the romance and celebrate your relationship. Whether you’ve been together for a short time or married for decades it’s always nice to celebrate the time you’ve spent together.
While celebrating my one year anniversary, I discovered that a low-key celebration is very underrated. Nothing beats cooking a meal together and enjoying some good wine and great company.
However you decide to spend it, anniversaries can’t be ignored! Low-key celebrations can secretly turn out very romantic or if you decide to splurge, remember to keep it about the two of you and not the things around you.
Here are 7 ways you can celebrate your special day together!
Enjoy a couple massage or spa
Had a stressful few weeks? Feeling sore from all those workouts? Nothing beats a bit of relaxation and pampering! Do a search online and find a place near you that does special couple treatments. Many places offer massages in double rooms filled with candles and champagne! Try a relaxing foot scrub and facial to treat your man to some well-deserved pampering!
Take a cooking class together
Learning a new skill together is great for a relationships, particularly if it involves food! Everyone loves to eat so you can’t go wrong with this one. Just make sure you keep away from the hot stoves and flames as this date can quickly turn sour!
Do something adventurous
Horseback riding, skydiving or even go-karting. Do something you both never done before and enjoy a thrilling new activity! Relationships are all about making memories and this one will definitely leave a lasting impression.
Take an art class
An art class has the potential to be a very memorable date. Even if you both don’t have an artistic bone in your body, there’s plenty of fun to be had! Take this lesson light-heartedly and laugh at your creation which you can later hang in the house to remember.
Go to a concert or show
Do a little bit of research and see what’s on during your special weekend! If you like the same music then a concert is something you both will remember for a long time. For an even more memorable weekend look for concerts outside your city, book a hotel and stay overnight.

Go hiking in the mountains, go to a winery or find a beautiful spot on the beach. Nothing beats exploring new places together and claiming them as yours!
