Can you believe we are already talking about spring? While it’s still a bit cold in this part of the world, summer is right around the corner. We’ve seen some amazing 2019 runway looks with plenty of wearable trends. See my top picks below! Will you be wearing any of these Spring Summer 2019 Fashion Trends?
ANIMAL PRINT
This spring let your animal instincts take over with bold and wild prints. Warm toned, loud leopard print is a favourite amongst style influencers and it’s been seen on the streets of New York, London and Tokyo. Incorporate animal prints in a variety of garments, including pants, coats, dresses, suits, and more. Make a statement with a stunning animal print blazer and unleash your inner jungle cat. Alternatively, consider adding subtle touches of animal print to your outfit with bags and shoes. I love these ‘Erase’ snake print slides from Wildfire shoes just $49.99.
EN BEIGE
If someone asks what is the colour of the season, the answer has to be beige. Contemporary oatmeal, ecru, beige and sand are making a huge return this spring. The catwalks of the likes of Burberry, Balmain and Max Mara were dominated by neutral colours as we saw head to toe looks. And you don’t need to spend a fortune to be in fashion either. Simply pair up some classic pieces like a nude trench coat with stilettoes. Don’t be afraid of experimenting with other shades of neutrals underneath. For shoes, I picked ‘Lash’ heels by Wildfire shoes, just $49.99.
ONE SHOULDER
It might be warmer, but the cold shoulder is still in. Show a bit of skin by opting for a single-sleeve top or dress. Be prepared to see plenty of décolletage-baring dresses during Spring Racing Carnivals, weddings and cocktail events. I love to rent mine from sites like GlamCorner who stock some of the latest runway looks for affordable prices! For a more casual look, pair a one shoulder top with a flowing skirt or resort pants. Don’t be after to mix up fabrics and patterns! Jumpsuit below by Femme Luxe.
ALPHABET DRESSING
While previous seasons flirted with monograms or full-name lettering, this summer we will see plenty of single-letter jewellery. The fun part is it doesn’t have to be your initials, pick something sentimental like your partners or a loved one. Pick a bold piece to wear as a necklace, earrings or even a clutch—it adds a cool sense of individuality to any outfit. Clutch and necklace below by SHEIKE.
