Opallac Gel Polish – DIY Salon Nails

October 9, 2017

Do you want salon quality gel polish nails at home? If so, I have found my new manicure must have: Opallac Gel Polish.

Nail salons are expensive! However, normal polish just doesn’t always cut it – especially if your nails are prone to breaking and peeling. Getting regular nail extensions was adding to my nail breakage so I was a bit stuck.

That is until I was contacted by Opallac to try their Gel Polish Kit. I’m not going to lie, I was sceptical at first. Shellac never really worked for me and I always found the colour to peel off after a few days.

In the kit, I received a UV LED Lamp, 3 x Gel colours (Cosmolicous, Seductress & High Tea), 1 x Gel Base Coat, 1 x Gel Top Coat, 1 x 2-in-1 Shine & Soak Solution & 1 x 30pk Remover Wraps.

So how does the Opallac gel kit work?

Here is my step-by-step guide:

  1. After carefully reading instructions start off by wiping off any residue nail polish and buff your nails
  2. Apply a THIN layer of the base coat and cure under the Opallac UV LED Lamp for 90 seconds.
  3. Then, 2 thin layers of Opallac UV Gel Colour, curing each coat for 90 seconds.
  4. A thin layer of Opallac UV Gel Top Coat, cure for 90 seconds.
  5. Remove the remaining sticky residue by wiping over each nail with cotton wool soaked in Opallac 2-in-1 Shine & Soak Off Solution

As I said, gel nails never really worked out for me … but not Opallac! I am so amazed by how my nails look and their strong feel . If you follow the instructions carefully you get a beautiful salon-like manicure that lasts for weeks and I am obsessed! I garden, work out, attend events and endure hours of household chores and my nails do not peel, break or split. I’ve only ever had this type of result from having extensions, never my natural nails. Incredible!

Adding to the joy of this product, after a few weeks of using Opallac my nails never looked better! They have grown, they feel stronger and I won’t be needing extensions again. One thing I must stress is to remove the gel as instructed (with provided soak and wraps) to protect your nail bed.

One of my favourite things about Opallac is the variety, with over 48 stunning colours in the range! These include the classics, glitter and sparkle, colour changing gels and designer duo packs. They also recently released four new colours as part of their nude duo’s collection (I’m wearing ‘Rise & Grind’ below). The release brings you must-have pink and beige based nudes which I am already obsessed with.

Opallac is perfect for busy lifestyles and besides the 90 second curing rounds, there is no need to wait for your polish to dry.

Try it out, I recommend this kit so much! Opallac is available exclusively to Priceline in-store and on-line.
