Rimmel London by Kate – Lasting Finish Lipstick
My ride or die lipstick! Perfect shade for my skin tone and it’s got a great mixture of soft, velvety texture that also lasts hours! Very similar to Mac lipsticks, this is a great option with a VERY reasonable price point. I got mine for 50% off in Priceline. Available in 5 natural shades.
Essence Make Me Brow
If you want natural, full brows for around $5 then this is your tool! The Essence product comes in two colours: blonde and brunette. If used lightly, brunette gives a lovely ash colour and adds lots of volume. Blonde colour is great for those with light blonde hair. Great for ‘on the go brows’ or a voluminous top up for your pencil fill in!
Essence False Lash Mascara
My ride or die mascara! Essence make a huge range of awesome mascaras – all under $10! Everything from lengthening, volumising, curling and waterproof. The brush on this one is is the perfect thickness, great for upper and lower lashes. It boosts volume and length without clumping and is super buildable. This mascara doesn’t smudge but clumps off at the end of the day which I love.
Maybelline FitMe! Matte+Poreless Foundation
This foundation is one of my favourites, especially for the price. I have combination skin so I purchased the Matte+Poreless as opposed to the dewy version. The foundation is very buildable but doesn’t look cakey when full coverage is applied. It has a nice matte finish and works really well with many primers and powders. FitMe! has a great shade range and is the perfect everyday foundation for work or school.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lip Liners
I use my trusty Rimmel liners for most of my everyday make-up looks. They glide on so smooth and creamy, making it super easy to line your lips. They come in a range of different colours and the price is super affordable! Pigmented and long lasting, the nude shade is perfect for filling in the whole lips and top with a nice gloss for a long-lasting look!
SportsGirl Brow Pencil
If you want something between a tradition brow pencil and a pomade try this! Many of you might know that SportsGirl released an awesome make-up range. When I first stumbled upon it, I was also shopping around for a new brow pencil so I thought why not! I was not disappointed. This brow pencil is super easy to apply, it glides on smooth and is soft enough to fix any mistakes. Also has a handy little brow brush on the other side to even out those babies.
Maybelline FitMe! Concealer
The concealer comes in a squared tube with a doe foot applicator. The concealer has a creamy consistency and it’s light enough to spread out easily. I use this under my eyes by creating an upside down triangle with the brush. I then used a concealer brush or a beauty blender to blend out. This concealer receives some awesome hype and now I know why! Great coverage, super easy to apply and blend plus awesome price point!
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
A great brush for foundation and concealer. Real Techniques makes great quality brushes and this one is no exception. I’ve had no issues with most typse of foundations including liquid and cream. Great all-round brush that doesn’t leave your face looking patchy. Tip: Make sure you clean it regularly to ensure it provides the best coverage and to avoid causing breakouts through the spread of bacteria from residue make-up on the bristles.
