Get ready, it’s almost summer! Pack away the coats and monochrome ensembles and bring out the vibrant colours to flirt with beaming sunlight. If you haven’t done your spring clean yet, now is the time. De-clutter your wardrobe because summer dressing is all about comfort and easy-going style. Here are my go-to looks for the office.
Monday
Start your week with clarity, happiness and creativity in yellow. Yellow has even been proven to increase mood and energy levels so it’s a perfect pick-me-up for Monday-itis. Pair bright yellow with neutral colours like nude, peach or white shades to make it pop. I styled this Bardot pencil skirt with a Calvin Klein t-shirt blouse and New Look pointed-toe stilettoes. Bag is from Colette.
Tuesday
If your Tuesday is filled with meetings or if you have a morning gym class booked, an easy and comfortable dress might be the best pick. Target is one of my favourite places for work wear, I always seem to find some great pieces for a very affordable price. I got this dress on sale for just $15! Shoes are from Big W, glasses by Armani and bag by Celine.
Wednesday
Brighten up your hump day with a summery pant/blouse ensemble. I love these wide leg trousers that I picked up from TK Maxx. They are super comfortable and light yet still provide a tailored look. I paired these with a white sleeveless blouse from David Jones and Novo metallic toe stilettoes. And while it looks like a clutch, that’s my trusty MacBook computer with a marble cover that I picked up on eBay. Glasses by Armani.
Thursday
Feeling peachy? I posted this affordable look on my Instagram and it received a great response. The peachy combination is perfect for summer, it’s comfortable, light and the colours are very flattering if you’ve got that summer glow. I purchased these tie up pants at Temt for around $20 (on sale last year). They have an almost leather-like finish but the material is super breathable and light. Top is from Brandy Melville USA, $39 and shoes are Target, $29.
Friday
You’re probably already familiar with the ‘casual Friday’ rule. It’s also a rule that requires your colleagues to show off their ‘relaxed and cool side’ by wearing denim. Join in and show them your off-duty side by pairing your favourite pair of jeans with a blouse and heels for a flattering contrast. I love the way jeans look in pointed toe heels! Here I paired my Valley Girl stretch jeans with Novo metallic toe stilettoes. Blouse is also from Valley Girl and I’m obsessed with the leafy, floral details. It’s super summery and romantic, a great find!
